Dainų Šventės

The 1000 year celebration of Lithuania- this is how we celebrated the USA's day of Independence!

Dainų Šventės, or The Millenium Song Celebration.

A five day long festival of music and dancing that held all the essentials from potato sausage to cotton candy to chocolate dipped waffles to pork kabobs to borsch to fried bread... what a wonderful chance for us to experience Lithuania. Of course, the kids are happy as long the ice cream stops continue, the little animal farm and singing and rain was just added bonus to them.

On top of all that fun we stopped at McDonalds, found a wannabe Chuck E Cheese play area, stopped for ice cream, saw the president of Lithuania, walked by Vilnius University, happened upon the promotion of some officers in the military, visited a couple churches...almost too much fun to report!

A few observations:
Lorenzo looks really old, Bradly's hair is getting so long, we have the same "fly guy" outfit for Sam that Jamus is wearing in one of the pics! We must have hit Costco about the same time... :) Looks like fun, so glad you have a husband around to enjoy it with!
